To prolong the life of your patio, it is important to prepare the ground and ensure a solid foundation. First, dig at least 12 inches into the ground, then level again with a mixture of rock and 0-¾ rock dust. Compress. There you have it! Simple as that. See : Landscaping |

When you dig the bed that will host your pavement, plan a further 8 inches to house a crushed stone border at the edge of your blocks that will be used to keep them in place. So for 12-inches of concrete, allow a space of 20 inches. See : Landscaping |
